Barefoot at Havelock

Barefoot at Havelock is a small eco-focused camp located on arguably one of the most stunning beaches in South Asia. Turquoise waters, fringed by silver powder sand and dense jungle and mangrove forests. Barefoot has simple thatched cottages made from locally sourced bamboo, palm leaves and wood and fan cooled, whilst the slightly more comfortable and spacious villas have air-conditioning and are made of hardwood and have floor to ceiling picture windows and jungle showers with view of the jungle canopy, giving them an open to nature feel. All rooms have private verandas in which to sit in and soak in the atmosphere of the surrounding forest. Facilities at the resort have been kept to a minimum so that guests aren't distracted by what the island itself has to offer - stunning beaches, world class snorkelling and diving opportunities as well as kayaking, swimming with elephants and guided nature treks in the surrounding forests. Yoga lessons take place in a specially built pavilion on the border of the rainforest and the daily courses are structured for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. The restaurant serves freshly caught seafood and the organic gardens provide fresh fruit and vegetables. This is a real getaway from it all experience and remains one of India's best kept secrets!

If you are interested in staying at the IdeBarefoot on Havelock part of your stay on the Andaman Island experience then please do not hesitate to give us a call on 0207 359 3938 or email. Alternatively, if you would like to experience the beach as well as the wildlife and culture then we can also arrange this for you.
