Devi Garh, Udaipur
A stunning 200 year old hilltop fort-palace which has been beautifully restored in a sleek and contemporary style. It is a rambling building dating back to the 18th Century, with spacious gardens and superb views, overlooking the surrounding hills and village below. One of India's finest and only true ‘boutique' hotels all 39 suites have spectacular views of either the valley, the courtyard, the gardens or surrounding countryside. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, predominantly in white marble and with spots of colour and semi-precious stones which reflect the rich colours seen throughout Rajasthan. The Devi Garh Suite has its own swimming pool and Jacuzzi, and some have bathrooms with floor to ceiling glass windows with views to die for. Located just 45 minutes drive from Udaipir Devi Garh can be used either as a base for visiting Udaipur however we feel it definitely warrants a couple of nights at the very least for it's very own chic appeal whether you continue to stay in Udaipur or not.
