Family Adventure to Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a wonderful destination for families who are looking for adventure and an opportunity to see wildlife at close hand, and with long sandy beaches, towering volcanoes and unspoilt tropical rainforest, there is sufficient variety to keep all ages excited.
Day 1 Fly to San Jose
Day 2 In San José; city tour and visit the towering Poas volcano.
Days 3-4 Driven to Turrialba to visit archaeological site of Guayabo with optional river rafting
Day 5 Make way to Tortuguero National Park by car and boat
Day 6 Explorations in jungle waterways by boat and on foot.
Days 7-8 Boat to Puerto Viejo and onward by bus to Arenal.
Day 9 Optional excursion to hot springs, jungle float or walks in the shadow of Arenal Volcano’s spluttering lava.
Days 10-11 Continue to the Monteverde cloud forest Reserve for walks among the rare plant species and spectacular birdwatching.
Days 12-13 Drive via Carara Reserve to relax on the golden sand beaches of Manuel Antonio accompanied by the resident wildlife!
Day 14 Driven to San José.
Day 15 Overnight flight to London
