L’Impressioniste (Canal de Bourgogne) Burgundy
A cruise on the 12-passenger hotel barge L’Impressioniste along the Canal de Bourgogne through the heart of Southern Burgundy is an idyllic way to experience some of the finest local wine and gastronomic delights, as well as visiting historical and architectural highlights of the region.
You’ll begin your trip in Dijon where a champagne reception will welcome you on board to your home for the next 7 days. Over the week you’ll meander along the picturesque canal past pretty villages and countryside, with stops to visit Clos de Vougeot, Old Dijon and the 14th Century Ducal Palace, a tour, wine tastings and lunch at the 12th century Abbye de le Bussiere, 13th Century Chateau de Commarin, Vandenesse, premier vineyards in Beaune, and Chateauneuf-en-Auxois. Delicious meals and wine served by the attentive crew will while away the time on board, and the comfortable saloon is perfect for chatting to your fellow passengers and taking in the views.
