Malaysian Island Paradise
You’ll start your trip in Kuala Lumpur, which has some of the regions best shopping, before taking an internal flight onto Langkawi. We recommend spending two nights at the Traders hotel in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur. We’ll arrange a guide on your first morning to show you the highlights of the city before sending you off to explore the Golden Triangle and as sun goes down sample some local cuisine at one of the best night markets in the country.
Langkawi is only a short flight from Kuala Lumpur so you’ll be picked up from Traders and reclined by the pool at the Bon Ton Resort in no time. Bon Ton is set on a coconut plantation a short drive from the beach and is compromised of eight historic villas, some up to 100 years old. Each have been lovely restored and given its own luxurious personality. They are a variety of sizes so perfect for families, with more intimate options complete with outside bathtubs perfect for stargazing with a glass of champagne. The restaurant at Bon Ton is widely regarded as one of the best on the island with a variety of delectable east and west cuisine to sample. We’d suggest four nights to soak up the ambience of the property.
Finish off your trip with four nights of contemporary opulence at the Datai. Set between the rainforest and a private strip of pristine white beach, the Datai is the in the perfect location to do absolutely nothing. The clear waters of the Andaman are full of colourful fish for you to lazily kick off from the beach and enjoy, while the pool area is incredibly grand if you would prefer to recline with cocktail in hand. There are plenty of nature trails to explore around the property, and mountain bikes for the more active. What will strike you when you enter the Datai is how grand the property is and how welcoming the service. Perfect.
