Novecento Boutique Hotel, Venice
Novecento is a delightful small hotel situated off Campo San Maurizio, midway between the Accademia and St Mark’s Square, a short distance from the Grand Canal.
Like the Hotel Flora it is owned and managed by the Romanelli family, hoteliers in Venice for 3 generations, and it is the personal service provided by the family and their loyal staff which makes this hotel so exceptional.
The hotel has 9 rooms, each one individually decorated and furnished with a unique blend of oriental and Venetian furnishings in rich, vibrant colours, the former collected by Gioele Romanelli and his wife Heiby during their travels to Morocco, Pakistan and Thailand. Each room has different features such as traditional Venetian floors, beamed ceilings and lead paned windows, and the bathrooms have Philippe Stark fittings. All rooms have internet access and temperature control as well as music and TV. In addition, guests can use the Novecento’s sister Hotel Flora’s new Technogym, which is equipped with a wide variety of fitness machines including the Gyrotonic® Expansion System and Turkish bath.
The public spaces in the hotel are particularly attractive. Upstairs there is a large lounge area with comfortable chairs, rugs and books while downstairs an honesty bar is in keeping with the hospitable atmosphere throughout. Breakfast can be taken inside, or in the charming garden area outside.
There are regular art exhibitions in the hotel, organised by Gioele and his father Ruggero, who has a particular interest in art. All the staff are friendly and helpful and will be only too happy to advise you on the best places to visit according to your interests.

Prices are from £140 to £246 a night. This is based on a double room with two people sharing and includes breakfast. Please contact us for specific prices.
