Il Gelso
Villa Il Gelso is a lovely villa with private pool overlooking the Sibillini Mountains.
It is a large, traditional stone built house, which was restored in 2001 but preserves its original features and has stunning views over the surrounding countryside and the mountains.
The interior of the villa is furnished with antique furniture from the owner's family and provides an attractive contrast to the stylish blue and yellow décor and the terracotta stone tiled floors. On the ground floor there is a large sitting room with comfortable furniture and a fireplace, and a spacious dining room with a modern and fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has attractive blue tiles and units and a cooker with oven, fridge and dishwasher. There is also a utility room and a bathroom with shower.
There are 4 bedrooms on the first floor, 3 doubles and 1 twin, all with wonderful views of the countryside. The bedrooms are all different, with antique furnishings and attractive décor. There is also a large bathroom with bath on this floor.
Outside there is a lovely secluded swimming pool surrounded by trees and mountains, and a large panoramic terrace with a table and chairs for outside dining.
Il Gelso sleeps 8, but this can be extended to 12 with the use of the separate dependency, which sleeps a further 4, and can be rented in conjunction with Il Gelso, though not separately from it unless Il Gelso is empty. The dependency is a separate stone built building, 50m from the main house, with its own well equipped kitchen and dining room, a double and twin bedroom, plus a bathroom with shower on the first floor.
The dependency shares the same beautiful views as the main house. Il Gelso lies 7km from the villages of Amandola and Sarnano and 40km from both Ascoli Piceno and the coast.
