L’Approdo delle Sirene
L’Approdo calls itself a B&B, but it is really more than this. The eight stylish rooms are on the top two floors of a beautiful old palazzo overlooking the harbour on the waterfront in Ortigia, the old part of Syracuse.

The building is full of light, and the white walls, polished wooden floors and brightly striped upholstery all help to accentuate this.
The bedrooms are all different, and vary in size, but all have private bathroom, air conditioning and TV. Breakfast is taken outside on a lovely terrace overlooking the harbour, surrounded by jasmine and bougainvillea. The quality is outstanding – delicious pastries and cakes too tempting to resist, as well as fresh bread, fruit and cereals.
Friedrich and his mother, Fiora are charming hosts, who will be only too happy to help and advise you on everything from arranging scuba diving to a tour of nearby sites.. Fiora is also a fantastic cook, and you can enjoy a wonderful dinner or even a cookery demonstration if you arrange this in advance.
L’Approdo delle Sirene is a gem; comfortable and stylish yet inexpensive, and in a perfect position to explore Syracuse and its environs.
Please note that L'Approdo delle Sirene will be closing for renovations from November 2011 - February 2012.
