Baglio Fontana
The Baglio Fontana is a lovely agriturismo in Western Sicily.
The Baglio was established in the 18th century and has 11 rooms, all of which are en suite. There are good options for families too, including a two room suite with a double room and a separate room with bunk beds. There is a large pool, a tennis court, and a small area for massages which uses the natural products of the farm such as almond oil and honey. Bicycle hire can be arranged as well as horse riding close by.
The owners of the Baglio Fontana pride themselves on their restaurant which specialises in local cuisine using the products of the farm's vineyards, olive trees and fruit orchards. The restaurant is only open in the evenings, but cold snacks are available by the pool during the day. Should you prefer to explore the surroundings in the evening, there are alternative restaurants all within easy reach, including a pizzeria in Buseto Palizzolo, about a 10 minute walk away.
Along with its impeccable hospitality and family atmosphere, the strategic position of the Baglio Fontana, a short distance from the major tourist sites of the province such as Erice, San Vito Lo Capo, Segesta and the Egadi Islands, makes this agriturismo an ideal place from which to explore this lovely area of Sicily.
