Villa di Monte Solare
In a tranquil position near Lake Trasimeno, the Villa di Monte Solare is an elegant hotel set in lovely walking country within easy access of the Umbrian capital Perugia, and has recently become a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Set on a hilltop overlooking the Umbrian hills, the Villa di Monte Solare provides a haven for those looking for relaxation and an excellent base for those wanting to discover Umbria and neighbouring Tuscany.
There are 25 rooms in total spread over 5 buildings, ranging from classic rooms to suites. 3 deluxe suites, 1 suite, 1 superior room and two classic rooms are located in the main Villa, all of which have individual character and are furnished in keeping with its 18th century origins. A short distance from the Villa are the Casa dei Gelsi which has 5 suites consisting of a bedroom and separate living area, L'Olivaia, which has 3 superior rooms, 1 deluxe suite and 1 classic room, and Olivi which has 4 classic rooms. Closer to the main house is La Limonaia, with 4 superior rooms, all with private terrace, with views over the countryside.
Lunch and dinner is served in the main building for all guests and the Villa's home grown produce is often used in their preparation. Alternatively there are several restaurants in the nearby town of Tavernelle.
There are 2 swimming pools at the Villa di Monte Solare, both with stunning views over the countryside. There is also a clay tennis court and the hotel will be happy to arrange several different activities such as walking, cycling or wine tours. Alternatively, should you wish to combine your holiday with learning a new skill, the resident chef at the Villa di Monte Solare offers cookery courses of various lengths. "Le Muse" is the most recent addition to the facilities at the Villa di Monte Solare. A haven of peace and tranquility, the spa offers a range of oriental and western treatments for clients wishing to indulge themselves just a little bit further!
During the summer months the Villa has regular musical and cultural events in either the small chapel or the gardens.
The owners of the Villa di Monte Solare, Filippo and Rosemarie, provide a very warm welcome to all guests and are willing to assist in any way to make your visit more memorable.

The Villa di Monte Solare are offering a selection of special offers for 2012
- Free night offer - from 9th April until 31st May, and from 1st October to 23rd December, book five nights and pay for four.
- Free night offer - from 1st June until 30th September. book seven nights and pay for six.
- Special Winter Offer - until 31st March 2012 (excluding Christmas and New Year), the hotel has a special winter offer of up to 50% off the nightly rate according to room type. Please contact us for more details.
- Early booking offer - for any bookings made before the 31st March, you will recieve a 10% discount on the room rates.
Please note these offers cannot be accumulated.
You will also receive a free room upgrade, subject to availability, and all clients of Real Holidays will benefit from a 20% discount on all Spa treatments.

Prices are per room per night. Half board supplement £35 per person per night. Children under two, free of charge. 30% reduction for one child up to 12 years old, 50% reduction for two children up to 12 years old, sharing a suite with parents.
