Steward's Residence
The Steward's Residence was originally a fortified hamlet and has been exquisitely restored by its present owners and converted into six apartments.
It is situated in an area full of Renaissance art and architecture, 9km from the historic town of Umbertide and 25km from the beautiful medieval hilltop town of Gubbio. The buildings are on top of a hill and therefore the heat is never oppressive and each apartment has wonderful views of the completely unspoilt Umbrian countryside.
There are 4 simple apartments in the main building, in one of which the owners live. There are 2 more apartments in a renovated outhouse. Each apartment has been individually and tastefully restored using original Umbrian furnishings. Most of the furniture is antique, but comfortable.
There is a lovely swimming pool surrounded by hedges, which protects it from the breeze. A new addition for 2008 was a restaurant, open only to guests and run by the owners and their daughter, and currently open on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
All the apartments have terraces for sitting out and eating.

La Torre - sleeps 4
This apartment is on three floors connected by a steep wooden staircase. On the ground floor there is the kitchen and living room. On the first floor there is a double room and a bathroom with a shower. On the second floor there is a room with two single beds, and on the third floor a terrace with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
La Scuderia - sleeps 4
This apartment is on the ground floor. There is a kitchen and living room, a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a bathroom with a bath.
Il Gastaldo - sleeps 4+2
This is a huge ground floor apartment with a fireplace, a large living room with a kitchen and two extra beds. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a bathroom with a bath and shower.
Il Fienile - sleeps 4
This is one of the two ground floor apartments in the particularly attractive converted outhouse. There is a living room with a kitchen, a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a bathroom with shower.
La Legnaia - sleeps 4
This is the other apartment in the converted outhouse. It has a living room with a kitchen and fireplace, a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a bathroom with shower.
