Set in the lovely Umbrian countryside is Tenuta di Canonica, a small family owned hotel, which is the perfect place to get away from it all.

Tenuta di Canonica is situated in a lovely position, 9km from the walled town of Todi and 45km from Perugia. The building, parts of which date back to medieval times, used to be a monastery and has been beautifully restored. There are 11 bedrooms in the main house, each one individually decorated in lovely colours, and elegantly furnished with antiques. Three of the rooms are junior suites (with air conditioning), and these are especially appealing, particularly the one spread over two levels. All the rooms have attractive tiled bathrooms.
The atmosphere is more like a country home than a hotel. Downstairs there is a large, comfortable sitting room with a fireplace and a library as well as a dining room, but in summer, meals are taken outside on the terrace from which there are views towards Todi and Lake Corbara in the distance.
The large swimming pool is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy spectacular views, and many people will be happy to spend much of their time here and in the rest of the grounds. You will be assured of a warm welcome from the manager who ensures that guests have everything to make their stay an enjoyable one.
