Villa Daphne
Set amidst landscaped gardens and two acres of olive groves, with a beautiful swimming pool, Daphne Villa is one of the most luxurious houses we have seen in the Pelion.
"We thought the villa was really lovely – beautifully furnished and equipped and the kitchen was especially marvellous. Comfortable beds, lots of places to sit and admire the view, nice pool".
It is newly built but in the traditional style and has the most spectacular 360 degree views of the Pagasitic Gulf and the mountains behind. The house is only 5 minutes’ walk from a small beach for that early morning swim.
The house has 3 double bedrooms, 2 en-suite, and a twin bedroom which shares a bathroom with the other double. The bedrooms are decorated in pastel colours and with different fabrics, but they are all well–furnished with comfortable beds, air conditioning and insect screens on the windows, and a hairdryer in each room. One of the double en suite rooms has an external entrance from the terrace.
There is a huge open plan living area with an open fire, a large dining table and comfortable sofas and armchairs upholstered in white linen, and a luxury kitchen with painted wooden units and every facility you might want, including a large Hitachi fridge/freezer, double oven, microwave and dishwasher and a separate washing machine area.
However, the outside area of the house is what makes it exceptional, with the spectacular and unsurpassed view from each of the outside terraces and the large, heated pool with outside shower. The dining table on the main front terrace seats 8, and from here you can enjoy the changing view at different times of day, from the clear light of the early morning to the magnificent sunset.
The house is secluded but quite accessible. The seaside village of Horto, with several good restaurants, is only 5 minutes away, and the larger seaside town of Milina and the market town of Argalasti, are also very near. There is a wide variety of beaches nearby to visit as well as many places of interest to visit slightly further afield.
