Martinhal Beach Resort
Martinhal Beach Resort and Hotel is a new property situated in a stunning position overlooking Martinhal Beach, set within a protected national park and close to the town of Sagres in Western Algarve.

Martinhal is great for families and couples alike, with a combination of a 38 room five star hotel and a selection of spacious two and three bedroom houses to suit families. These are situated in the heart of the resort and have access to all the facilities in the resort. There are also some privately owned villas which can be rented, all of which have private pools and either three or four bedrooms.
There are several swimming pools in various parts of the resort, all of which are heated. Other activities in the resort include tennis, paddle tennis, football, gym and then the water sports from the beach below the resort. These include windsurfing, kayaking, body boarding and dingy sailing. Tuition can be arranged, including surf lessons. There are also several bicycles which can be used to explore the national park surrounding the resort.
For the younger guests, there is a kids club which takes children from 6 months and arranges a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, and for the teens there is the Blue Room, which has the latest video games, a table tennis table and a good selection of board games.
There are three restaurants on site, ranging from the fine dining O Terraco restaurant, to the buzzing bistro Os Gambozinos, which is located in the village square and features a wood burning pizza oven.
Martinhal is a great new resort with fantastic facilities in a very interesting and much quieter area of the Algarve.
Hotel Martinhal
Hotel Martinhal has 10 terrace rooms, 26 beach rooms and 2 duplex beach suites. All rooms are are en suite and have wooden floors and decorated in pastel tones to create a mellow atmosphere. The terrace rooms are located in the main building of the hotel and each has its own wood deck terrace from where to enjoy the sea views from. The beach rooms are arranged in clusters of four near the beach and a short walk from the main hotel. Each room opens onto a private balcony or terrace and all face towards the sea and for 2012, there will be some of the beach rooms which can interconnect for families. The two beach suites have a loft style double height living space with an open plan bedroom on the mezzanine level. The views from the floor to ceiling windows are spectaclar and there is a private terrace. A cot can fit into all room types in the hotel.
Garden Houses
A total of 39 garden houses are set within a walled garden and centred around a pool. There are 10 deluxe one bedroom houses, 20 grand deluxe two bedroom houses and 9 master deluxe three bedroom houses. All have a living / dining area with fully equipped kitchen including oven and microwave, and a private terrace overlooking the pool.
Bay Houses
There are a total of 12 Bay houses located at the eastern edge of the resort with views over the Natural Reserve and to the ocean. There are 6 grand deluxe two bedroom houses, and 6 master deluxe three bedroom houses. All have a living / dining area with fully equipped kitchen including over and microwave, and a private balconies with table and chairs.
Ocean Houses
There are 55 Ocean houses arranged in small terraced groups at the front of Martinhal village and have views of the ocean. There are 49 two bedroom grand deluxe houses, and 6 three bedroom master deluxe houses. All have a private balcony with table and chairs as well as a living / dining area with fully equipped kitchen including oven and microwave.
Pinewood Houses
There are 10 Pinewood Houses located at the back of the resort on the edge of a pinewood forest, but are still within easy access to the resort's facilities. They are contemporary in appearance, and each house has its own small private swimming pool. There are 6 two bedroom grand deluxe houses and 4 master deluxe houses with three bedrooms.
Luxury villas
There are 45 luxury villas of which 13 can be rented through Martinhal and benefit from having access to all the resort's facilities. These villas are all privately owned so all differ in style and decor, but all are finished to an exceptionally high standard and have a private swimming pool, garden and views to the ocean.
