Uniquely Ecuador
Ecuador is one of the smallest countries in South America, but makes up for it in its diversity in flora and fauna, culture, landscape from mountains to jungle to Pacific ocean and of course the Galapagos Islands, a wildlife enthusiast’s dream.
Start you trip flying to Quito via Madrid or Miami and have three nights at Patio Andaluz. Explore this fascinating UNESCO city, strolling through the narrow cobbled streets and discover the ornate churches scattered throughout the city. Perhaps visit the Otavalo market which is located about 2 hours north of Quito where you can buy some local arts and crafts and see Otavalenos in their traditional dress.
After checking out of your hotel, you will fly to Coca for your three night adventure in the Amazonian jungle staying at the Napo Wildlife Centre. All activities take place in small groups led by local guides and naturalists. Typical activities include guided hikes, dugout canoe rides and bird watching.
After three nights in the jungle, fly back to Quote for one night before flying onto the Galapagos Islands. Board your boat, choose between Eric, Flamingo and Letty, 3 identical first class motor yachts with 10 cabins each. Shore excursions include hiking through ancient lava fields, see the courtship dance of the blue footed boobies, Galapagos penguins and frigate birds, and go swimming with the friendly sea lions.
After you week of cruising around these fascinating islands, fly back to Quito for one last night before your flight back to the UK which some very good memories.
