Next to the luxurious Torre Coccaro, near Fasano, lies the elegant Masseria Torre Maizza, owned by the same family but even more sophisticated, and aimed more towards couples or small groups of adults than the more family oriented Torre Coccaro.
The old masseria, with its central tower surrounded by outhouses, has been converted into a stunning hotel with gleaming white buildings housing 20 luxurious rooms and 8 suites, ranging from classic doubles with shower to two suites with private pools. All the rooms have luxurious bathrooms and private gardens and overlook the hotel’s golf course or the surrounding olive groves.
The landscaped gardens are full of colour and the beautiful, large, heated pool, with its comfortable extra large sunbeds, is set amongst fruit trees.
The restaurant and bar area is particularly attractive, the bar with polished wooden floors and the dining room overlooking an orchard of 700 year old orange and lemon trees. The restaurant serves delicious locally sourced and organic food, mostly based on traditional Puglian recipes.
There is a complimentary shuttle service to the hotel’s private beach club where there is always space, even in the height of summer. The hotel also has its own luxurious Aveda spa offering a wide range of treatments, and a nine-hole golf course.
