Irene Villa
Irene Villa is a recently built, very comfortable, four bedroom villa with wonderful views over the Pagasitic Gulf near the pretty village of Horto in the Pelion.
It has its own swimming pool set among the olive trees which surround the house, but if you prefer, you can walk down for about five minutes through the olive grove to a small almost private beach, perfect for those early morning swims.
Irene Villa is a two storey building with the master bedroom and en suite bathroom, living room and main kitchen and terrace on the first floor, and the other three bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom downstairs, so it’s possible to keep your distance from the family below if you want to. Both storeys have large terraces with outside eating areas, but the view from the upstairs terrace, particularly of the setting sun, is unsurpassed.
The living room is spacious, light and comfortably furnished, and the kitchen has a dishwasher as well as all the equipment you could need to make traditional Greek meals from the local ingredients bought from the nearby towns of Argalasti, where there is a market on Saturday, or Milina. Or you may prefer to eat at one of the many sea front tavernas in Horto, just a short distance away, or Milina, three kilometres along the coast, where you will find delicious freshly cooked fish and other local specialities.
There are numerous beaches nearby including the beautiful sandy beaches of the Aegean, such as Potistika and Paltsi, as well as interesting villages such as Milies, Tsagarada, Damouchari and Trikari. It’s also easy to go by ferry from Platanias nearby, to visit Skiathos and the other islands of the Sporades if you want to.
Irene Villa is perfect for families or for a group of friends wanting a comfortable house in an unspoilt, peaceful and beautiful part of Greece where they can choose to do very little, or to visit the many interesting places nearby.
