Palazzo Baldi is located in the heart of the historic town of Galatina in southern Puglia and is a restored palace once belonging to the Bishop of Otranto.
It is a luxurious 4 star hotel with 15 rooms, some of which have private balconies and terraces. This 16th century palace today has a strong artistic influence, with many artworks exhibited in the hotel.
The hotel is built around a courtyard, with outdoor space to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
There are suites, junior suites and classic rooms, all of which are decorated in a Mediterranean style. Vaulted ceilings and arches are preserved to give the hotel its amazing character and even hidden passages and cubby holes (for escaping priests) can be found.
There is an attractive bar and restaurant within the hotel, but guests can also enjoy sampling the cuisine at the many restaurants on the doorstep of the hotel.
We would recommend at least 2 or 3 nights at Palazzo Baldi in order to properly explore the attractions of Galatina including the impressive frescoes at the Basilica Santa Caterina.
