Poggio Ai Santi
The Poggio ai Santi is a haven of tranquillity on the northern Maremma coast 4km from the town of San Vincenzo and the nearest beach.
This country house property is divided into three buildings partly dating back to the 19th Century: the ‘podere’ (the main farmhouse), a beautiful villa and the converted former stables located on the edge of the pine forest.
The 30 hectare agricultural estate not only provides wonderful scenery for taking that early morning stroll, but is also the source of the organically produced olive oil, jams and honey that can be tasted at breakfast along with an enticing display of hot pastries and homemade breads.
The Poggio has 11 suites spread across the 3 buildings. Each room has its unique style adding to the character of the property. Some of the suites have a small kitchenette and some have a private terrace with sea views.
Il Sale, the agriturismo’s on site restaurant, serves local specialities and perfect homemade pasta. Dinner is served on the terrace in the summer months by candlelight and in the cooler months inside the Podere.
What strikes you about the property is the elegant style and the artistic flare of the interior design. It has been thoughtfully put together to achieve a particularly warm and homely feel. The owner Francesca and her partner, Dominique, take great care to make sure all their clients are happy and the team at the Poggio ai Santi are on hand to help plan excursions if you can tear your self away from the idyllic setting. The swimming pool in the estate’s gardens has beautiful sea views and refreshments are served there throughout the day
