St Nicholas Bay Hotel, Crete
Just outside the small resort of Aghios Nikolaos lies the St. Nicholas Bay hotel, one of our Greek favourites.
The hotel has just over 100 rooms, with the handful of rooms with private pools being the deluxe option. These rooms make the hotel feel intimate, with the privacy you would expect from a luxury villa holiday, with all the facilities of a hotel on your doorstep. The rooms are airy and spacious, with good sized pools and a terrace area. Sea views of course come as standard.
Should you wish to leave the hotel, Aghios Nikalaos is a pretty town and only a short walk or taxi ride from the hotel. For the history enthusiast, there are also a number of interesting places within reach of a day trip, including Knossos, the Bronze Age archeological site.
Facilities include three restaurants to choose between every evening, each offering a different take on Greek food, and a beautiful bar area with views over the bay. As with all exclusive hotels, there is a very nice spa area, offering all the treatments you might require. In addition to this, there are tennis courts for the active, and a well equipped games room for the children.
