Tenuta Le Piane

Tenuta le Piane is located within the Sibillini Mountain National Park - nearly two million acres of spectacular mountain scenery with densely forested slopes. Above the tree line are picturesque pastures which come alive with flowers in the spring.

The accommodation at Tenuta le Piane has been converted from old farm buildings in a small hamlet which dates back to the 16th century. There is a mixture of apartments and independent houses, but all the buildings retain such original features as stone walls and exposed wooden beams. In some cases original fireplaces and feeding troughs have been incorporated in the design.

All the properties have been furnished in keeping with the overall feel of being in the country, but also with comfort in mind. They all have private bathrooms and garden areas.

The Fattoria has been converted into 4 apartments, all overlooking the shared swimming pool and play area in the extensive gardens.

In the neighbouring farmhouse building is another apartment with a superb large terrace overlooking the swimming pool.

At the far end of the gardens are two further buildings which house Casale il Ginepro, Casale il Castagno and Casale la Quercia. These 3 share their own swimming pool with stunning views.

The final building is Casale il Cerro which is an independent house with private pool which sleeps up to 6 plus 1 child.

The coast is little more than an hour away by car, or you can take in the views while driving over the mountain range, stopping for a swim at Lago Fiastrone. Alternatively, you can visit the less well known towns of Sarnano, famous for its thermal waters, or the walled hilltop town of San Ginesio, which has some fine 4th century artwork.

Il Noce, sleeps 4

This is on the ground floor, with a very spacious living room leading through to the kitchen/dining area. The two bedrooms upstairs can be made up as either twins or doubles.

Il Ciliego, sleeps 4+1

This is also on the ground floor and is almost identical to Il Noce but with one twin and one double room and an extra single bed on the landing (suitable only for a child).

Il Melo and Il Pero, sleeps 2 each

The upstairs of the house has been converted into these two large attic studios. Both studios have a large living area with a double bed at one end, as well as a kitchen corner and a private shower room. The studios are accessed by an external staircase, and an internal doorway means they can be joined together if desired.

Le Terrazze, sleeps 4

This occupies a first floor position with a twin and double bedroom, well equipped kitchen, living/dining area with open fireplace and a bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bath.

Casale il Ginepro

This is an independent cottage, and one of the most popular properties at Tenuta le Piane. The open plan ground floor is split into a comfortable living area with a step up to the dining area with kitchen corner. Upstairs is an attractive double bedroom, which has an additional bed suitable for a child. Il Ginepro has a private garden to one side of the house.

Il Castagno, sleeps 4+1

This apartment has a comfortable living room with two steps leading up to the dining area with a kitchen corner. There is one twin and one double bedroom, both with superb views of the mountains. The spacious landing has been adapted for an additional bed, suitable only for a child.

Casale la Quercia, sleeps 3+3

This is the biggest apartment and is ideal for a family. The ground floor has living and dining arrangements identical to Il Castagno. The first floor has one double room with views towards Amandola, plus room on the landing for a single bed. The second floor attic conversion with a low ceiling has three beds suitable for children.

Casale il Cerro, sleeps 6+1

This is perfect for guests wanting more privacy. This independent villa with its own pool, approximately 1lm from the other properties, is set in a private garden with magnificent mountian views. The ground floor has a large sitting room and utility room with a washing machine. A second living room, kitchen with dishwasher, dining room, bathroom and two bedrooms (one twin and one doubel) are all on the first floor. The upper floor has a gallery bedroom with twin bed and a single bed and an additional bathroom with shower.
