Villa Fontalgozzo
This attractive yellow ochre farmhouse was built in the 1920s following a design by the English architect Cecil Pinsent and is the smallest of the villas we feature on the La Foce Estate.
The combination of this distinctive coloured villa, the luscious vegetation and the more often than not piercing blue skies makes a striking setting for a very comfortable stay.
The rooms are decorated in pastel colours which complement the lightness of the property and its stylish furniture. On the ground floor there is a living room with a travertine fireplace, a large well equipped kitchen leading out to the garden, a dining room and a bathroom. A spiral staircase leads up to the first floor where there are 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom, each with en suite facilities. There is also a second sitting area with a fire place on this floor.
The grounds of the villa are very spacious with several shaded areas for dining and relaxing al fresco. A stroll down into the gardens, there is a second farmhouse next to the large swimming pool. This farmhouse has a twin bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower. It is decorated in pale blue and green and has a very peaceful ambience. These beautifully restored buildings are located just below the main villa and are surrounded by cypress trees and pergolas. There are plenty of quiet places for reading and relaxing including a hammock by the swimming pool.
The office of the La Foce estate is located only a 2 minute drive from the villa, where the staff are on hand to organise any activities such as horse riding, cycling, booking tickets for concerts and cookery classes, or they can help with local sightseeing information and directions. Nearby towns in both Tuscany and Umbria are on your door step ready to explore.
