Five New Travel Trends

After an unsettled few years, here's our take on emerging travel trends...

Five New Travel Trends

With a world to explore, we discuss the new travel trends that our clients are interested in. Like immersion in the wonder of isolated nature or living life in a spacious and secluded family villa. We want you to feel inspired to visit old favourites, new landscapes and secluded spots.

Engage in our travel trends below – which resonates with you? Call us to let us know.

    Wilderness & Fresh Mountain Air

To some, getting away from it all is an enticing idea. If that’s you, consider a break to these beautifully bleak and utterly remote turfed-topped houses located in Iceland’s Golden Circle. Ideal for couples wanting to immerse themselves in cinematic scenery, Torfus Retreat is surrounded by windswept valleys and glaciers, and back home you can get cosy with Nordic-luxe interiors and an outdoor geo-thermal basalt tub.

Up in the mountains, you’re surrounded by fresh air and the hypnotic panorama of jagged peaks and blue sky. At Lagació Hotel Mountain Residence, you and your family can be self-sufficient in luxe roomy apartments, whilst making the most of hikes in the flower-strewn meadows in summer and ski trails in winter. Pair with cultural Venice and you’ll have a holiday of two distinct but very enjoyable halves.

    Secluded Islands

Nothing quite beats the seclusion and privacy of a resort set on its own island. A real treat for family or a group of friends, this is the holiday where you’ll be very well looked after in the most beautiful of settings.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon in the Seychelles is a luxe island idyll, with spacious villas spread out over rocky headlines with plenty of beaches to choose from. Bawah Island, located in carefree seclusion, 300kms from Singapore’s Indonesia Anambas Archipelago is a place to forget about your worldly worries and kick back in the new family villas set on their own paradise island. Or get away from the crowds at boutique villa hotel Koh Jum Beach Villas on a remote island that time forgot, off Thailand’s west coast. Villas come shrouded in jungly gardens with a quiet beach just steps away.

    The Working Holiday

Many of us have embraced a whole new way of working from home and with this in mind, take your work/life balance to the next level with an extended rental of a beautiful villa over the summer holidays next year. Make a new part of the world your home. Speak to us about what your needs are and we’ll source from our hand-picked villa suppliers.

Some of the properties we know first-hand but together with our trusted suppliers we can make sure the villa has exactly what you need for a working holiday. Imagine logging off and diving straight into the pool or heading out for an Aperitivo to kick start the weekend – your new way of working will make the most of the your free time, and working in such gorgeous surroundings will mean your productivity levels soar.

Last minute getaways and short breaks

With many of you missing out on summer holidays consider being spontaneous or making the most of weekends. Re-consider your holiday norms by stretching the season to take a sunny, short-haul breaks in October or November; or head to Europe for spring at Easter time. We’re seeing a rising trend for those of you who are happy to go away on a last-minute break and we’re ready to accommodate this. Call us on a Monday and we could have you booked and ready to go by Thursday.

Both autumn and spring are perfect for city breaks like Lecce for Puglian sunshine, while Venice is significantly quieter and the Amalfi Coast is cool enough for hikes along the magnificent cliffs.

    Family Takeover

With family time more important than ever, consider a villa or house where everyone comes along. Whether it’s planning ahead for a big family Christmas abroad, Easter or summer holidays, talk to us about a big trip that everyone will remember.

We’ve got lots of ideas but for some inspiration how about a family takeover of a villa in Marrakech where the sun always shines – we like Lion’s Palace, a 10-bedroom property that has a vast pool. For something more rustic, enjoy your own agriturismo at Sant Illiminato, a collection of five apartments overlooking the golden-tinged Umbrian hills. Further afield Sri Lanka steals our hearts with Walatta House,  a wow-factor villa on a palm-fringed beach in Tangalle.
