A step away from traditional Cycladic architecture on one of Real Holidays’ favourite islands – Naxos – this new regeneration project promises an authentic eco-tourism resort located on a wild lagoon on the west shore, yet just a mile from Naxos Town. Not only is the area a hotbed of biodiversity from flamingos to cedar forests and wetlands, it is also one of the oldest known settlements in the Central Aegean with findings from Palaeolithic humans and Neanderthals. Nearby is the newly opened Pekoe Trail which links old tea plantation pathways together for hiking; the glassy waters of Castlereagh Reservoir are ideal for a gentle kayak.
