Despite adversity and hoops to jump through, we guided many of our clients to solutions that made it possible for them to take a summer holiday. And we even squeezed in some trips for ourselves. In doing so we were able to see the door-to-door journey for what it is – more complicated than usual but with safety at the forefront and hugely worth it for the holiday on the other side.

Fabulous Feedback
It was lovely and reassuring to hear your feedback from the trips we arranged and to hear tales of holiday joy. We know how much you appreciated having a knowledgeable expert on the end of the phone for the answers to travel restrictions, quarantines and the best places to go. As the first RH post-lockdown travellers went off, we were hugely relieved to hear the travel experience was as amazing as you remembered.
We sent a young family of four to Puglia who came back declaring it ‘their best holiday yet’, and a couple we sent to Kavos Naxos in Greece ‘fell in love’ with the chilled ambience at this pretty hotel. A last-minute trip that we pulled together to Naples and the island of Ischia, staying at Botania hotel, was a ‘classy and secluded hotel’ according to our clients who said it was ‘fabulous’ to be there.

Road Testing Travel
Travel addicts like us can’t be grounded for long, and it was important for us to establish the new travel landscape and report back. We were relieved to see that airports and planes are taking mask safety seriously, with special PPE kits on certain flights. It was as calm and orderly as we had hoped.
Our Director Matt Fisher went to Athens then island-hopped around Sifnos and Milos and found the journey straightforward with any remaining anxieties banished on arrival when he had a rush of love for the simple pleasures of travel. Our Content Manager Harriet spent time in Sardinia where the crystal-clear waters and the chatter of holidaying Italians were the perfect antidote to lockdown life.
