Perhaps the greatest safari destination of all, with a wide range of varied terrain and wildlife, providing plenty of chances to see the ‘Big Five’, along with large cheetah populations and some wonderful birdlife.
It is also the best place in the world to see the great migration of wildebeest and zebras from July to September, a sight that even hundreds of nature documentaries have failed to dim. After a few days of that, there are then some great beaches to explore, with huge stretches of the coast between Mombasa and Malindi offering some excellent hotels.
