Day 1-3
Discover the Delta
Your safari starts in Maun, a riverside town in northern Botswana that’s the jumping off point for explorations in the Okavango Delta. After a night in a hotel, begin your journey into the vast wetland paradise in the centre of the Kalahari Desert, known as the Okavango Delta. Fed by South Angola mountain floodwater, a breathtaking range of wildlife is lured from the plateau of the Kalahari Desert creating a lush waterworld filled with hippo, elephant, lion and buffalo among an abundance of smaller creatures and birdlife.
Follow thick sand tracks into the delta, drive through small communities, canoe the lagoon in a traditional dugout mokoro and enjoy a sunset motorboat cruise. Stay in Guma Lagoon with simple chalets and a pool, owner managed and run by staff from the local community. Hidden away and clasped in nature, appreciate the back-to-nature allure of this rustic camp.

Day 6-7
Big Cat Country
From Moremi, set off early northwards towards the wildlife-rich Savuti area. An excellent habitat for big predators with plenty of sightings of lion and leopard, elephant and plains game, Savuti is an outstanding wildlife destination. Drive through the epic wide-open savannah dotted with acacia trees and take a turn into the Savuti channel where big cats like to hunt.
Your home for the night is a serviced tented camp, a no-frills option that allows you to sleep in the heart of the bush, surrounded by the sights and sounds of pristine African nature, far from human habitation. Have an evening meal in the dining tent and a bucket shower with water heated on the fire, before an early bed, your sleep punctuated by the unforgettable sound of lions roaring.

Day 11
The Smoke That Thunders
Today we travel from Botswana into Zimbabwe and towards Victoria Falls. The mighty Zambezi River thunders 100m over the gorge creating a magnificent spectacle. The spray from the waterfall sustains a rainforest surrounding the falls which is abundant with birdlife and protected in a National Park. Spend the afternoon exploring Victoria Falls on foot with our local guide bringing the Falls to life with tales of the explorers of these ancient lands. Stay in a simple lodge to rest your head for the night before your departure home the next day.
