Entry into Nature
Take a connecting flight from San José right into the heart of the verdant nature at Aguila de Osa in 28-acres of privately protected rainforest. With a shoreside location, the hotel is made up of wooden casitas cradled in a jungly hillside. Fanning out from the hotel are a network of rivers, edged by mangroves and the calm waters of Drake Bay. Wild and remote, Aguila de Osa is the gateway to discovery in this tourist-free part of the Osa Peninsula.
At The Lodge
A friendly and helpful team run Aguila de Osa, headed up by owner Bradd who built the hotel after falling in love with the region on a fishing trip 20 years ago. He imbues the resort with a healthy respect for nature which is very much encouraged in guests, and he also creates a relaxed ambience with communal mealtimes where everyone gathers together to discuss the day’s discoveries. Aguila de Osa offers a delicious all-inclusive program, created using fresh produce from their own farm. After dinner, evenings are peaceful, accompanied by the sounds of nature as you head to your comfortably furnished wooden casita for a deep sleep.
