Small, intimate and uniquely designed with expansive views of the shimmering Mediterranean Sea.
Located halfway between Paphos and Limassol on Cyprus’ Blue Flag coast, this superb resort is ideally suited to both couples and families thanks to a choice of inviting pools, excellent kids’ clubs, tempting restaurants and a spoiling spa. Throw in wonderfully personalised service and access to nearby cultural sites, and you’ve got one of our favourite European beach hotels.
The lowdown
-
Kids club
While children are fully engaged at the excellent Den Kids Club, parents can slow the pace with a treatment at the Hebe Spa, where the indoor lagoon seamlessly connects with the resort’s outdoor 80-metre infinity pool.
-
Need to know
There’s easy access to Pissouri via the resort shuttle, but we’d recommend hiring a car if you want to explore further.
-
Insider tip
Sun lovers should switch from the resort’s eastern to western swimming pool in the afternoon to avoid the shade.
-
Baby benefits
Parents can pre-order everything from sterilisers to bottles and buggies courtesy of the resort’s BabyEase service.

Cost
From £4140.00 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children under 12) staying 7 nights in an Executive Suite (bed and breakfast) and including flights and private transfers.
The 169 spacious suites come in different shapes and sizes, but we particularly like gazing out to sea from the elegant Executive Suites. Head to the resort’s eastern side for contemporary style, while the rustic wooden furniture and tiled floors of the western suites create a more traditional feel. If you’re travelling with the family, there’s an array of interconnecting and two-bedroom options to choose from.
There’s so much to keep you occupied at Columbia Beach Resort. Take to the waters for sailing, kite-surfing and kayaking adventures. Back on dry land, cycling and hiking tours, cooking classes and cultural excursions to visit Paphos’ Roman mosaics are on offer. You could take a wander around Limassol, explore authentic villages or take a trip to the Milomeri Waterfalls. Alternatively, simply kick back with a book on one of the loungers which you’ll find dotted among the sweeping gardens.
Taste authentic Cypriot fare at the Apollo Tavern or go gourmet Italian at Bacchus – the wide range of dining options mean everyone’s sure to find something they like. You can also eat at Il Buchetto trattoria, located just outside the resort. With its cobbled pathway, wooden decking and homemade food in a warm and cosy atmosphere, it makes for a pleasingly rustic alternative to the hotel’s sophisticated culinary offerings.
